Some go as far as taking the motor completely apart and submerging the internals in motor oil.
I think thats kinda far beyond needed. If anything make sure the gas-tank is completely empty - run it on the starter box with the glow-ignitor attached to run out any extra fuel after your run.
Then run some after-run oil through it and leave the glow-plug off so air can get in there....should be good. Also taking the pipe off would have around the same effect , allowing the moisture to leave....
