The application of asphalt sealer was the first of numerous improvements scheduled for 2006. Steve Jackson and I spent the day today on the next phase of these improvements. We completed and installed the long talked about storage shelf in the shipping container. Now many items are up and out of the way saving additional time and effort at setup and teardown. We extended pit row by 24' using the current double 2x4 barrier system. Double 2x4 barriers have been constructed and painted for use on the inside exit of Turn 3 all the way to the Turn 4 marshalling triangle. The inside exit of Turn 9 has been updated to this configuration as well.
Additional improvements are planned with completion in advance of the Canadian Gas Nationals:
Permanent assembly of the Turn 4 marshalling triangle.
8' extension to the drivers stand.
Additional PA speakers.
