Both Brushed and Brushless have their advantages and diadvantages.

Brushed are extremely smmoth, and have a very good feel to them especially when off throttle, and in braking. The advantage of BL is there is minimal fade through a run, and no need to work on them every run to keep them consistent.

The biggest differences will be longevity, especially in onroad, as we get more runtime and voltage the brushed motors simply will not be able to keep up (under the current overall design specs)

It will take time for people to come to grips with the different characteristics of BL, but in the long run there is no other feasible option. Note this is from experience in Onraod where power makes a big difference, offroad where power delivery and driveability is more important, there may be some differences.
