Mah Are the same across the board the advantage to the LI-PO set up is consistant voltage from start to end. With the VXR regulator you get a consistant 6.4 volts,this makes servo work faster with more torque also. Some one posted that the regulator conserves power and that is incorrect. It regulates power to 6.7 volts that is why we now have a 5amp regulator the previous regulater was to small in amprage and had issues with the amp draw from the load from the digital servos. You are also correct most cars are light, the LI-PO makes them weigh even less. Hope this helps a little.
