Got a few new EA's (dialled) monsters and they pull around 9-10Amps. After a few runs I rebuild the motor using F-lines and same springs but the amp draw drops to 7-8Amps.
I ask myself the same thing too, but when you get the motor the magnets are at there full strength if you over gear the motor and it get too hot the magnets get weak each run the motor get and the hood get out of line and with a stock motor there is were you get most of the power, now that is my opinion.
