I don't see why they wouldn't let you omit screws.. just say you "forgot" to put them in.. heh.. it's not up to tech to say, "hey, you missed a screw here.. put one in..", since it would be your own fault if it fails on the track
I believe the 4-hole johnson (if a non-RC dude comes by and reads this, they'd think we're sickos
) also has 4 screw holes at the end.. I have one, and the vent holes near the endbell are almost half the size of the newer ones. I think the newer ones have 3 screw holes.. not sure what that third one is for, though
