your setup at the moment is
team losi xxx-s whit 88 spur gear and 18 pinion whit 63mm tire rubbber so your rollout is 22.1 !! its so undergear so thats why your motor is so hot and dont run at his full performance!!
here we run the atlas at 31-33mm of rollout so!! you need gear them higher!!
i will suggest starting whit a 25 of pinion (7 teeth difference
)
25 pinion is 30.075 mm
26 pinio is 31.954 mm
27 pinion is 33.183
starts whit a 25 pinion!!
