People told me to stay away from the newer Novarossi engine because of this reason. I'm so glad that I picked up the NS12S3 a while ago.
The old microcasted pistons were MUCH better (I'll promise you). Anything (if something exists now...) with a batch number of 2003 or 2004 doesn't compare with the cheap rubbish actaul that comes from Nova factory.
