Well if your clutch is locking up at a low rpm then it is not hitting the power band of the motor untill later. If the clutch slipped a little it would hit the power band of the motor quicker and then shift sooner. Try to let the new shoe slip a little more and the shift point should come back down to were you had it before. If you loosen up the black clutch shoe it would do the same thing.
