Not all brand new packs false peak. When I made a custom profile for the NiMH, none of them false peaked. All my batteries come straight from the matcher, from his hand into mine, so I know for a fact they haven't been sitting on a shelf for weeks. Anyway, the only time I've had problems charging any batteries has been brand new 6 cell battery packs at 2+ amps using the NiMH2 mode on my Millenium Pro (v1.03 software). I can charge receiver packs perfectly fine on the NiMH2 profile, but it just doesn't wanna do the 6 cells. Oh well, I'll just continue using my custom profile. Thanks for the info though, it's much appreciated.
JohnBull - I charge and peak @ 5 amps for stock, and then I charge 4 amps for mod and peak @ 5 amps.
