Hey Simon !

Thats awsome news man ! You have no idea what a buzz i get when people tell me they had a hassle free day with their motor and a great time to boot !

Yeah the fuel does need to be tuned to as do all fuels really.. People tend to get a little apprehensive leaning on the mix but i guess i should explain why this happens with fuel.

Ok think of your carb as a gate or tap.. run water through it and it will flow freely and quickly.. Run molases through it and it will run very slowly..
So to different fuels have different thickness or viscosity oils .. The oils i use are very fine so they can run through the carb more readily.. so it would just be relevant to lean or richen the mix to suit.
Now the new mix which will be coming out in the next month is even finer.. preliminary tests have shown it to load up more readily but it is a matter of fine tuning the carb to the fuel.. The advantage with the new fuel is engine longevity and better performance. the new oil has shown to reduce frictional losses by about 20% which is more than we bargained for.. The initial concern was the engines were runing too cool .. Struggling to get 95 deg C was'nt uncommon in testing . But in further testing we found the new oil to cool the engine more rapidly and temping when coming in wasnt accurate. In monitored temps the engines ran at a nice and comfy 100 to 105 deg c and as soon as you came in the temps would drop 5 to 10 deg ...

Having said all this temps arent really that important, what is important is performance. We refer to temping as its a tool to monitor what the oil is doing in the engine ..

So in conclusion we are extremely happy with the new blends , we have to finalise it but there will be 3 new on road blends 2 for 1/10 scale and 1 for 1/8 scale racing and the new off road blend is already in use in Queensland and NSW with excellent results..

Cheers
MM
