) ...actually pretty easy, I used a dremel with the high speed cutter:
And the "Multi purpose cutting kit" to limit the depth it cut at:
Set it to the same depth as the sink for the motor mount and dremeled the part that the motor mount stretches out on, then set it for the depth of the motor clearance and extended that, and viola!
