Yes, people do say that it is expensive to hop up a V1S, but it isn't that bad.

The prices vary significantly across countries, Hong Kong being the cheapest place.

But the hop ups that are absolutely needed (imho) are:-

2 speed
Diff upgrade
Floating rear mount
Stablizers (personal preference)
One Way (shouldn't this be personal preference since it suits certain driving style)

The tx & rx, engine, tune pipe & tyres are also needed on the V1R/R thus should not be included in the list of hop ups

Question of the carbon fibre plate - it looks fantastic, but I have never driven one. Does the centering of the fuel tank make any noticeable improvement in handling?

Also, I understand that one would need to use only hump backed rx batteries instead of the flat ones. Is this true? I would really like to get one, but my rx batteries are the flat ones.
