You would think it would help with acceleration. Think of it as going from a 3.88 to a 4.10 in a Camaro. Makes it more of a stumb puller. But I'm not sure if that really is the case, e.i. X-ray went down in ratio to a 1.77 from a 2.XX. I would think it would have more to do with using a different size spur/pinion to move the motor fore/aft. I don't know how much the 415 is affected by motor placement but I do know it makes a big difference on a car like the RDX.
