That is very strange because I have logged the entire discharge curve of my GP3700 cells and after five minutes the pack is down to 7.64V at a discharge rate of 10A. The Lipo is down to 7.69V at the same time.
In fact the GP3700 only stays above 8V for about 1 minute while discharging.

Off course there is a difference in measurement. When you measure something with a charger there can be a considerable difference with the measurement of a digital multimeter. All my measurements on the discharge curve are done with a multimeter linked to my computer and then taking one measurement every five seconds.
