The decision of using plastic endbells on the OEM mods was strictly a cost issue. Steve said he couldn’t manufacturer the Al endbells cheap enough to compete in the OEM market. As for performance; for those of you who think strapping a piece of aluminum to a electric motor will make it go faster, I've got some magical beans for sale
So far our testing with the plastic endbell has yielded the same operating temperatures as the Al version, 145-165*F…..

That's good to hear. I was worried before about heat dissipation with the polymer endbell. How often do you need to change the springs on the CPs? Btw, do you have the magic beans in stock?
