Advice is needed, I'm new to nitro on-road but have raced electrics off and on for 20 years and began racing a nitro truck last year.
I've read the threads here and to me the Mongoose seems to be an upgraded G4. Looking at the TM website I see the new G4s kit and the Lemans which is RTR. With my nitro on-road experience being nill, I'm looking for which of these will give me the most satisfaction to cost ratio. I have decent radio equipment (XS3) for my truck and cars so the Futaba radio included with the RTR is not a selling point to me. Cost is, and the G4s kit is more than the RTR before buying an engine and pipe. I've seen a Mongoose advertised for about $200, pictured with an engine and pipe but assuming that is not included.
I guess my choice will be between the RTR and Mongoose. Which of these 2 cars are closer to the G4s? Is there a difference between the Mongoose and the Lemans? Will a new driver notice the difference? Is the included engine with the RTR competitive?
I'm pretty sure I'll have other questions, but these stick out now.
