Hello..
I have never heard of a softer battery being faster. You may have to tune the motor a little different for the battery voltage but a higher voltage battery and runtime will always be faster. The only way to prove my point is to run back to back and look at laptimes. The IB3800 cell is a excellent cell with the majority of the matchers and there teams using them as there premier cell.
