Hey Mike Catts
you are very welcome to post any questions you want ! I realise im reletively new on the scene and people need to get confidense before acceptance.. I have nothing to hide so im happy to tell all.. Except my fuel and mod secrets of course ! lol
So to answer your question, Yes the VP range of oils and nitro are good ! Mind you everything VP have is not made by Vp its selected and distributed by them ,, There are some major refinerys in Texas that make the raw product that VP rebadge and sell.. Having said that VP only take the best stuff avalable and you can rely on it IF it has their name on the can ..
Having said that to correct you re Chinese nitro , this is a common misconception as a lot of people believe chinese nitro to be bad.. Its actually some of the best nitro you can get.. In fact VP buy 70% of their nitro from china and add a dye that tells you if its gone bad.. Its a honey yellowish colour and goes purple when it goes off.. Awesome innovation From VP .. Now The US Makes about 15% of the worlds Nitro and the major part is used for the military.. the rest is used for people like Vp etc..
Now i make the fuel myself from fresh ingredients, i dont cut corners or replace nitro with acetone.. Its made to very strict guide lines and only i know the recipies so i HAVE to make it myself.. beside i think its fun makinf fuel.. I particularly enjoy testing different mixes and new products..
My next blend comes out in june and its going to absolutely make your engine sing! Its also designed to give longevity to your engine.. So to have 5 race meets out of one engine wont be un common as opposed to 2 or 3 ..
one of the oils i will be replacing with another brand .. other than VP .. I also use Klotz for certain applications..
So do you make your own ? or do yo uhave a friend do it for you ?
I hope this helps.. keep the dialog going too
Cheers
MM
