Actually most current motor cleaners are safe for cleaning lexan bodies. The Wearever stuff from Advance autoparts and the Wurth contact cleaner are also safe on lexan.
Some brake cleaners have some lacquer thinner or acetone in them. These chemicals cause a crystalization reaction in lexan that makes it super brittle.
