That's kind of what I was thinking. CVD's on an onroad car do create a lot of wear on the outdrives when you're running a spool. On the Schumacher, we use "blades" small plastic cushions between the drive pin and the outdrive to take the brunt of the abuse. 2 runs and they're done usually. I was thinking about running a spool in the XX4 (being an outdoors onroad racer and using spools 90% of the time

) but I'm not too sure how it'll react on the dirt. I'd imagine I'd also have to lock down the clicker to get the full effect.
