LCD's were developed for the front of the JRxS. It's kind of a double jointed CVD if you want to think of it that way. Losi will be releasing them for the XX4 and XXX4. I'll probably be getting them for the front end of the car.
the only real use for an lcd is if you run a spool. Typicaly a live axle will have two joints in it. The one joint will not provide smooth power, instead it will create lots of vibrations. Typicaly the diff in a car will absorb this, however a spool doesn't and will instead be eaten up in a hurry. will cause the drive to reck havock on the outdrive. The lcd helps to prevent this. If you don't run a spool I would stick with the bones on anything that you can get traction on. If you are having trouble getting traction then switch to the cvds.
