While i got you. I noticed that when I removed my old tip theres some sleeve that fits over a white filament Is this sleeve necessary or can I remove it to get more heat?
I don't know, but I'd leave it on. If you're doing something that needs "more heat" (if it would even do such a thing) ya need a bigger (higher wattage) iron. Can't think right off what in RC needs more heat than what you've got...
