Yep, i also started with a stick radio but now race with a wheel radio....its largely a matter of personal preference.....some of the top racers are using stick radios to great effect, others wouldnt use anything but a wheel radio.
Before buying, I`d go into a LHS and see how both types feel in your hand.....also, if theres a local hobby centre with track in your area some of these will hire out radios/cars.....it may then be possible to test drive the two systems and you`ll soon know which is best for you.
