When you have a good layer of shoegoo on a body, that section is more likely to bend (curve) than it is to fold(a line and crack) when hit. Well, atleast unless you hit REAL HARD anyways...

Make sure there are no choppy cuts or serrations along any edge of the body cause those will easily tear and extend in a crash. Carve your own foam bumpers out of EPP foam that rides right up against the body, so the body doesn't fold at the front wheel wells in a frontal collision.
