For your first car, I would say the NTC3 coming from experience. As far as speed of the box, for $300. I went through 3 cars before I got the TC3, and the other ones did not come close. I purchased the HPI EVO 3 and had problems with it. The only problem I had with the TC3 was the shock tower, but that couls easily be fixed. NTC3 if you ask me!!
