I had one of the springs that connects the brush tube to the pcb fall out during a race. Almost chewed up the arm. I removed both of the spring deals, and the pcb. The motor works fine. But, I use spektrum, so I don't ever EVER have any issues with glitching.
Its only there to help prevent RF glitching in FM radios.
