I was marshalling at turn 1 which is a sweeper after a very long straight (around 90m/180ft) and initially thought it was either a Sirio or a JP because of the blue head and the high pitched sound at peak RPM. I went over to have a look, and it turned out to be a TZ. He swore that it was box stock!

The guy ended up second but i can honestly say, this little beast made engines that cost 3 times as much, eat humble piedown the straight!!!

My only concern is longevity. Are they durable, and do their carbs hold tune?
OS Engines are known for their carbs holding their settings. That definitely is not an issue. Longevity will not be an issue either. My 12TZ has only broken the 200F degree barrier three times. Ran mine hard at a club race yesterday and had an average temp of 181F degrees and was hanging with a JP FX-03 and a Novarossi NS-3 with no problem. The engine impressed a couple of friends of mine so much that they are going to get one. Not bad for a $200usd engine. With a rebuild on it well under $100usd ($50usd for a piston/sleeve, $20usd for a rod), it is worth the investment.
