Yep, Dom's got me covered once again. They are effectively 1/8" diameter by 1mm thick quick change clips. I made some today out of .020 thick lexan to make some half thickness shims. I would like to find a good source for these clips other then purchasing an entire tree of parts that you use just a portion of the package. Losi and Associated also have these style of hinge pin/carrier clips for adjusting suspensions, just make sure that they are not too large that they interfere with the spokes on the wheels when installed.
I am looking into doing some further packaging for the MS2.3. I am looking at putting together a conversion kit with upper plate and damper tubes. Of course there were be a price increase for this deluxe kit, but it would eliminate the hassle of trying to find special parts. I would have to make purchases of large quantities to be able to make this available. I need to decide if a conversion kit for $200 would sell.
Other news, Weylin Rose has jumped on board with the Slapmaster Team. Weylin has really matured as a driver in the last year as he has traveled to many high profile electric events. As a veteran Schumacher pilot, Weylin likes to dabble in 12th scale as well. I built him a car just last week, bolted in Novak's latest brushless system and hit the track for some testing. I have been testing with tires and the LRP brushless system. It may seem the brushless systems may change the face of 12 scale forever. While I am still tuning my car and motor/esc combo in, Weylin hit the rug at full speed. I was impressed to say the least. He ran at least 4 tenths faster then my average and the car looked awesome. Time might still be an issue, but with good bat's and "fine tune", Weylin should be literally the new kid in town. I was really happy for him. Guys at the track asked me if that upset me that he is going to smoke me with my own car design. "No way, I am thrilled... it's all about the car". I asked Weylin what he felt he needs to do to the car. He said: "I can't think of anything!" He said: "it's fine the way it is."
How cool is that? We might play with the shock some more. I need to find the right tire combo to run with the LRP. I still have too much push with the lack of off power drag from the brushless system, but the run time is incrediable. As we learn more, we will have a set up posted here on rctech for the new crc ozite carpet with the new brushless systems.
