Something else to consider when stripping hardcoating off of parts, hard coating actually builds up a thickness on the parts it is done to. The thickness that it adds, it also eats into the parts. Hardcoating actually changes the surface compostiton of the materials that the process is done to.

If you have items stripped of hardcoating and bearings go on or through these parts, the bearings will now fit sloppier, shock threads will be looser, possibly causing leaks, thickness of the material will be thinner causing the parts to be weaker. If you can get parts that were only anodized and not hardcoated, it would be a much better starting point, as you will lose less material.
