Hey all,
I have been so busy on all of this stuff, I just needed to spend the last 4 hours or so with family doing important stuff... like carve pumpkins with a dremel

It's true, I did win in 2 and then charged it up to let Chris Perry (who has never driven my car before) to take it for the victory laps in A3. And he pulled it off! I was truely impressed. Steve Degarmo took brides maid honors all weekend and we even denied him A3. Actually Steve was quite fast and really deserves credit. Steve took 2nd in A1 and in A2 by less then 8 seconds in each. He really drove well. Handing the car to Chris, really showed to me that the car does work well for others instead of just well for myself. Get this, Steve took the transmitter from Chris at the conclusion of the main and ran for another two minutes! These SMC IB3800's are something else. I am quite certain that my loaner rental car stunt will likely sell a few more kits. I forgot about the time that I lent it to Allan... I just don't know how he's going to explain to his wife that he needs a Slapmaster for xmas.

For the final qual this morning, I still wanted to focus on the rolling speed of the car. I chose to increase the caster and raise the upper arm up to the center hole, plus reduce some of the toe out. Increasing caster will increase power on steering and can cause some off power steering due to the "jacking" effect that has on the chassis. This can also cause a traction roll. Knowing this, I took the arms up to the center hole on the front block and reduced the toe out to about 1/2 out per side. I left the bat's at one side forward and one side back. The car was pretty edgy but you could tell that it was getting through the corners pretty quick. It yeilded a 9.6 and a prety mean streak of 9.8-.9's to up the anty to 48/8:02. For the main, I only took about an 1/8th of a turn out of each turnbuckle to reduce the toe even more. It's about -1/4 now. The car really hustled the corners.

A1 had a good start. I was a bit nervous and lacked the focus I really wanted, but I had a corner lead over Steve. About a minute and a half in, I regained that focus and pulled away finishing about 3/4's ahead of 2nd. A2, I was more relaxed. Steve was driving the wheels off of his ride and would not roll over. He shaddowed me for 3 minutes, but I would eventually be able to pull away. The car could turn the same lap for 10 minutes. The consistancy payed off as I wrapped up the Mains in 2.

Rain City did a great job at this years Slugfest. The new carpet was just amazing. It was great to see old friends again. Keith Yu had taken tq in mod foam sedan and was back in top form as he won the class in the 3rd main. Many don't realise the tallent that Keith has. I know that Welyin, Peter and Andrew gave it there all. Congrat's to Chris Perry for not only taking the 12 stock A3, but for capturing the Stock Touring title.
