Default Nitro cleaning questions

Hi All,

How do people clean there nitro cars??? I just cleaned mine after its first run by scraping off all the dirt I could see and then sprayed WD-40 all over (Is the WD-40 ok as I have like a 'rubber' compressable bit that the throttle linkage is hooked onto????)

One more question with after run oil..... Where EXACTLY do I put it as my manual that came with the car dosn't even mention it!!! I`ve put some in the section that is exposed when the air filters are removed (which where cleaned in hot soapy water and then oiled with WD-40) and a bit in the part that is exposed when you remove the glow plug, is this correct?

Will the WD-40 be ok sitting over the glow plug when I start it back up again or will I have to remove the excess???

May thanks for the help AGAIN LOL
