12th scale racing now runs 4 cells. This is great because they are pretty much just as fast on the track with 4 cells as they were with 6 cells. This saves money on batteries, tires, and gears due to the lower weight.
You really can't pick a bad 12th scale car out there today. Associated Electrics has been the pioneer and best in the hobby since the begining. The
12L4 is an outstanding choice. Almost every other competitors bases their car on the 12L4 with slight variations.
