I must say i must have had a freakish NTC3 that just refused to break. I went through a whole season of racing with it and all i broke was a top arm when a car jumped the barrier at the end of the straight and i hit it in 2nd gear at full tilt! Other than that, nothing. Another guy at my club still races one and his doesn't break either. I dont think they a fragile at all. Some people expect their cars to hit gutters at speed and for them to last
My Mugen is just as tough and also a tad faster
