I started out with regular-sized oil shocks, which were ok, but the car is much better on the specially-short, "Super Mini CVA" Tamiya shocks. I fitted them with the supplied 6mm internal spacer, and with the #53333 short Touring Car tuned springs it sits nice and low with a 7mm ride height. It handles infinitely better (doesn't roll over anymore) but yes it does bottom out now.
