If you doing 5.7~6.0 (for rpm 23T), ex: 90/34x2.25=5.95, the pinon just not close enough to spur. Rather than 90spur, I would suggest go for 94 (ex: 94/36*2.25=5.87) which is much safer for gear.
I think you got me confused with someone else ! ....Never had a 23T in my TA05, it was 7T, 8T and 9T in this car from the very beginning ....I need ratio in the range from 8.5 to 10. Currently settled with 8.83 on a 8T.

Maybe I'll put in a 23T at our local TAC 2006 next year, but for now this car is running with the big boys !
