I can get it sometimes to the point where I can "feel" the spur 'tick' when I nudge it back and forth with my finger, but can't actually see it because it's so close... it's still free when I rotate the spur and all, but is there any benefit of having it that close rather than being able to see the space?
Well, I usually push the pinon all the way in, than use hand to move it out about 0.5mm, than check with flashlight see if it's too much. Not very science way but it works always for me...
