Hey, I want to build a YRX-12 from the ground up(sort of a project for me) and was wondering if anyone knows the thickness of the stock chassis. I want a car for carpet, and know yokomo offers a 2.1 mm chassis, but if the stock is thicker then I would go for that. Also, does anyone know if Associated sells a complete L4 front end? I thought i remember seeing someone buy a complete front end(all in 1 package)
I ran a yrx-12 a couple years ago it was an awsome car on asphalt I placed 6th in the A at a roar nationals with it. When I ran the car on carpet I basically glued some strengthening ribs to make the chassis stiffer. It worked great just added a wee to much wieght. Mind you we run a series in our state and of of 8 races one was on carpet so I didnt worry about it. If you want contact Doug Powell of Prc he'll have a chassis for it if you want to run on carpet!
