I thinks its kind of simple, someone objects to your avatar and while you may disagree their objections, but the objections are not unreasonable, why not change it. What’s the big deal.
If my car hits a rail really hard and I say G*d Damn it If after the race someone come up to me and says they don't like someone taking the Lord's name in vain. I may disagree, I may think there making a big deal out of nothing, I may believe there is nothing wrong with what I said, I certainly had the right to say it, but I am not going to argue with them, or tell them to mind their own business, I will simply tell them OK, end of story.
It simply being considerate an having good manners.
