Just got back from my first race with my Checkpoint 7x1. Ran carpet foam touring car at the Trackside pre sizzler race. Stock out of the box 7x1 wich I changed the pos spring to a silver.. stock 12 degree timing. Ran it all through practice and the first heat with no loss in power. I pulled it down after the heat... looked good yet... I skimmed the comm and ran the other two heats and the A... still looks nice
I was very happy with the way it held up.
Now as for power... well the DC boys (Jucha and McGeevy) could pull me on the straight but it was as fast or faster than the others. I know McGreevy had a Ti 8x1 but he was running better packs than I was... maybe that was the difference? All in all I am happy with the motor
