Fantom engines are good engines, but they do seem to be low on power for onroad. If you run offroad they are fine because there is only so much power you can put down anyway.
You also have to get use to how hot they run. In my experience Fantom engines run a good 30 degrees hotter than comparable Nova Rossi and Picco based engines.
They dont make good on-road engines because the 2005 engine is made specifically for off-road. The 2005's dont run hot, normal operating temp is between 190-230 degrees F. I run the new 2005's and to me, it has the perfect powerband for off-road.
