Hello - new member here. I have been running a
Savage .26 for over a year and a
RS4 18ss for about 4 months. I just got an
R40 kit. I am installing
this motor with an SG shaft. I am going to use it with
this pipe. I am painting
this body and
this body.
My new R40’s build manual says to use grease in the rear diff but I figured that silicon fluid would be better. I filled the rear diff up with 5,000 fluid and put it together being very careful to not damage the gasket. Now that the diff is together I can see a little fluid leaking out where the two halves meet. The fluid is making its way onto the teeth where the belt goes.
Are you guys running silicon fluid in the rear diff? This minor leak has me concerned.
