It's more than that. Most of the car has been redesigned -- the Losi website does not do it justice. I will have pics up soon.
Among other things:
- chassis is brand new
- rear arms redesigned (only work with new rear carriers)
- rear carriers redesigned (only work with new rear arms)
- stronger caster blocks (approx 1mm thicker -- not sure if these work with the old arms)
- front bumper completely redesigned and strengthened for reduced flex
- new belt (more pliable for less skipping)
- nitrade shock shafts
- 1" springs all around
That's all I can think of right now. I talked to Adam Drake yesterday and he said (and I quote) "We could have just released a graphite version of the car, but we really wanted to expand upon the design and do things a little bit different, and improve on what we had."
He also mentioned that the prototype at the show and on the website is still not a production car. They are working on rounding the inside edges of the drive tunnel on the chassis to further reduce weight.
