Remove the red wire from the wiring harness going to the receiver. DO NOT CUT the red wire, just remove it from the plug by pushing in the pin that retains the plug into the harness. Now your VFS will only power the motor. You will need to re-insert the red wire to the harness program the VFS.
Plug your receiver pack into the receiver directly. You will still need to turn on the receiver pack (if you have a switch) and turn on the VFS.
