5 times now I have pulled a wheel bearing out to find the outside case has cracked into a number of peices ! 
anyone know of any better alternatives at a similar price, or is there some lubricant that may help.
I was told they just don't stand up to impacts, but Ive seen one let go on the 2 speed shaft ??
I agree, the stock bearing isnt that durable. I am using Dynamite Red Teflon Seal bearing now and the quality is very good and durable although kind of pricy, I got them for $4 a piece(10 x 15).
