Yes, the new stronger universal from K-Factory (K1488) is better than the original. You can also use the Lola conversion lower bumper from K1486 and trim them to the foam for better front end protection.

By the way, from the look of your picture I think you put the pivot ball nut in wrong direction, please check again.
