It's a real shame that this technicality should prevent you from being able to design and sell your own roto compatible back plate for what is afterall your engine!! I find it hard to understand why a company has any right to patent what amounts to just a couple of gears mounted to the back of a nitro engine. Surely similar mechanisms must exist for many other applications!!
