Thumbs up Go for the Xipp lathe!

I use a Xipp lathe and it works flawlessly. the setup directions are not the greatest of help but once you see how to work it and do some experimental cuts on an old comm to get it right it is no problem at all.
The key is the bit height and angle, as long as you are no higher than the center of the comm you are cutting.
I am using their slave motor but any stock one will do,just run it on 4 cells with a stock motor.
Make your cuts SLOWLY and be sure to use some cutting fluid!
try several cuts to get the smoothest cut and you are ready to do a real motor comm, Good luck with your new (Xipp) Lathe..
