Default Old post , Ai wants a go! Lol!

I asked this same question and Google Ai came back with the following answer. (I searched if a sensorless ESC can use Turbo and/or Boost , after seeing someone selling an RC car "Turbo & Boosted Vgood 150a 6s ESC" on eBay that looks sensorless and im fairly certain Vgood doesn't have any Car ESCs that are sensored, at least none listed on their website EVEN THOUGH there is a link for sensored car ESCs when clicked nothing is shown, no models listed. Also personally I have never seen a Turbo & Boosted ESC that wasnt sensored)
So anyway, Ai said:

"brushless ESC can have turbo settings even with a sensorless motor, but it works by estimating rotor position via back-EMF, making the timing less precise and potentially less powerful than with a sensored setup, though still effective for adding a speed burst on long straights in racing. The ESC uses algorithms to approximate the motor's RPM and position, allowing for programmable timing adjustments (boost/turbo) once running, though startup might be rougher"

With a description of Back EMF as follows:

Back-EMF Detection: In sensorless mode, the ESC detects the motor's back-EMF (voltage generated by the motor's rotation) to figure out the rotor's position, unlike sensored motors which use physical Hall effect sensors for exact positioning.

So im getting that some sensored escs with turbo and boost can work Turbo and Boost with unsensored motors , but unsensored ESCs wont have Turbo or Boost, but they sometimes have basic timing settings.

Stull, Im not buying it!
NOT what the eBay seller is selling anyways! 🤣
