not sure about 19 turn

I think Brian was the highest finisher in invite. I think 15th, Matt was near there too.
I'm sure you meant Open,

Food for thought, just some observations...

Reedy race 2005
Losi did quite well taking 4 of 10 spots in open mod.

as for invitational

This is not at all a showcase of cars, most of these guys could drive a toaster to victory lane. But if anyone wants to talk about the cars, the field is stacked heavily for tamiya (there facility, and AE (reedy race) 47% of the field is tamiya and associated.
1 corrally car, just because toss finished 18th, does that mean corrally is crap, give me a break he won the snowbirds with it, that rdx had about a 3% chance of winning, Losi and a few others only 3 cars out of 34, 8 % chance of winning. There were like 5 or more former losi drivers in the race, some in the A-main doing just as well as they had done with there losi, with other cars.

This is a field of talent and not cars, Invitational does not mean Manufacturers cup, there were not 8 losi's 8 ae, etc...
If you go by that, over all Kyosho, with there prototype, 2 great drivers, but car needs a little work.

AE had a horrible invitational Take craigs amazing driving skills, and over all win out of the equation the avarage FTTC4 finish, average finishing position was 24th, AE's best driver at the worlds finished 30th. Sorry but the shafties were still getting belted

Best invite car might be the cyclone, but those 3 drivers could lap all of us even if we sprayed pepper spray in there eyes before the main. Tamiya did as expected. x-ray had 2 in the top 10 then what the hell happened.
It's all about the drivers ability to win in heads up racing, a great event.

Josh Numan won the reedy race, but I think the 2 most interesting things are not that he ran a JRXS, I mean the get over it, the car is proven at this point.
He was running the only stratus 3.0 in the main
I guess dodge's are faster then Mazda's
and that checkpoint motor Won the reedy race WOW
Orion, Trinity, Reedy, move over, theres a new very competitive Modified to worry about =)
As far as I know, this is the biggest win for both checkpoint, and Novak batteries.
Josh Numan your sponsers aren't paying you enough
